The legacy of Milton Friedman, the Nobel laureate who was arguably the most influential economist of the 20th century, will be celebrated -- and debated -- Monday in a series of events staged in his memory.
Friedman died Nov. 16 at the age of 94.
``Milton Friedman Day,'' as proclaimed by the state of California and the cities of San Francisco and Chicago, will be marked by a variety of retrospectives and discussions, as well as the broadcast of a new documentary on public broadcasting stations, including KQED.
